At 2:49:00 I keep getting the #SPILL! error when selecting an especific month. Has anyone been experiencing the same issue?

The Milestone symbol isn't showing up for me like it does at 56.06. The formula gets copied across but no diamond appears. I've tried a few times and not sure what I'm doing wrong. I also don't know how he gets rid of the 0's and 1's to enter a new formula, without deleting the formula in the cells. Currently stuck, if anyone knows, please help. Thanks

The formula for "Balance" column in Budget Tracking does not work for me properly. Does anyone else have this problem? The function is the same as in the video: =SUMPRODUCT([Amount], ([Date]<=[@Date])*1, ([Type]<>"Income") * (-1) + ([Type] = "Income")).

I've been using this without a hitch for the past few years. Thank you! However, I've encountered a problem recently. Whenever I add a new category to the income, expenses, or savings, the Dashboard's Period Tracking Balance shows "N/A" while the Period Savings Rate shows a blank percentage. What could be causing this and how do I fix it?

Honestly it's almost perfect, the only thing I would add is debt tracking.

For the Shift late income, if you also have Expenses/savings that come out after your salary, but before the end of the month, and want these to be counted for the followong month, on the Tracking tab, edit the formula to just read [@Type] and remove ="Income" Then everything, Income, Expenses, Savings, put in SHOULD be shifted if they are dated between the shift late income date and the end of the month

Thanks so much for the video, this was very well taught. I have one question though… for savings I want to have the ability to see the total amount I have added to savings over how ever many years and also be able to deduct money from savings when I need to. Is there a way to add a savings balance? Also… I haven’t finished the whole video yet but if you don’t spend the budgeted amount then does it carry over or go into savings and if not then how can I do that. For example if I budget 100 for food and I only spend 80 then I want there to be some indicator that says I have an extra 20 I can add to savings since I didn’t spend it. Thanks ❤

I am new to Excel and do not know if what I am thinking is viable. Has anybody tried to automate the budget planning section with formulas so that the only part in which you have to enter data is exclusively the budget tracking section, does it make sense?

Amazing work. After finishing it and using it for a while I am considering changing a few things, such as the Budget tracking section, wouldn't it be more efficient to just add the transactions and make them automatically populate in the budget planning section in that way you do not have to enter the same information again and also, let's say that I add 12 different body care - medicine expenses in a single month, I would have to add them up and put them on the Budget planning, I think it would be if the excel just did it automatically. I wonder what others have changed or improved upon this template.

When i write =IF(is_empty, "",IF(is_header, "Tracked", INDEX($K:$K, MATCH(row_id, $X:$X)))) it returns tracked numbers for income and expenses, but not for savings, its just a blank cell and causes remaining and excess to return #VALUE! in cell as a result. I use the exact same code but doesn't work for savings, why could this be happening? Lost at this point.

I'm half way through this and got stuck at 2:54:30. When i enter the formula it only displays the Total Year Period, when i change to other options i got #N/A. I really appreciate if anyone know how to fix this. This is my first time trying to create something this big and this is the best tutorial i've ever seen on YT. Thank you.

Thank you for you hard work, this template is awesome! I have just one point: at about 1:26:13 the formula for the Balance column in the Budget Tracking table is shown. If I put more than one row for the same date, the balance will change for every row with that specific date, and not scale with every transaction, is this intended?

Hey everyone! I'm working on the Excel project and at 1:15:00 came across an issue I could use some help with. I'm trying to create a dynamic data validation list that references different tables using the INDIRECT function. The dropdown in one cell lets me select between tables named 'Income,' 'expenses,' and 'savings,' which are set up as named ranges. When I select a table, the INDIRECT function should display the corresponding list, but instead, I’m getting a 'spill error' and the list appears in an array format with curly braces like {"Item1"; "Item2"; "Item3"}. Has anyone experienced this before? Could it be related to how Excel handles dynamic arrays or the way the tables are structured? I'd love to hear your thoughts and any solutions you might suggest!

I followed you on every step and completed the Template, ready to track my personal finances with style!!! Perhaps it would be a good idea for someone to proceed in further processing of the template so to secure every cell that contains a formula to avoid any modifications by mistake that a user could do.

Errors are occurring at 02:54. The results appear correct when "Total Year” and “January" is selected, but the error "#N/A" shows up when any other month is selected. Hi, office lab! Please, can you help me, or maybe someone else who reads my question? Example: I have sheet 1 and sheet 2. In sheet 1 the plan (gantt) with 3 rows with the 3 Id of each task (Task1, Task2 and Task3, and sheet 2 with a table with the tasks that I will repeat In each day, So, every time I repeat each task in different dates it continuous in plan in the same line. Is this possible and if so, how could I do that? Thanks a lot!
